Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Nov 13
Good bright medium red. Soil-driven aromas of plum, musky brown spices and flowers. Lush and nicely concentrated, with harmonious ripe acidity giving shape to the middle palate. Finishes broad and persistent, with rather suave tannins. Excellent entry-level Barolo.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
